Holcim Forum for Sustainable Construction
The Holcim Forum for Sustainable Construction is an initiative of the Holcim Foundation that brings together specialists at two-day workshops to discuss and promote construction-related solutions to the pressing challenges of sustainable development. These international experts include architects, planners, developers, scientists, and representatives from business, politics, administration, and civil society.

The Holcim Forum is held every three years. The first Holcim Forum under the theme of “Basic Needs” was held at the ETH Zurich in September 2004.

The second Holcim Forum focused on the topic "Urban_Trans_Formation", and was held in April 2007 in Shanghai, China. Some 200 participants from over 40 countries, among them politicians, architects, professors, sociologists, students and planners, discussed for 3 days on how to overcome the urban challenges of the 21st century.
