Holcim (US) Inc. is one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of cement and mineral components in the United States. With 16 manufacturing facilities and more than 76 distribution terminals. Holcim (US) Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Holcim Ltd., of Switzerland, one of the largest cement companies in the world.

  • Holcim is constructing a new four-million-ton capacity plant in Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri.
  • Since 1998 the company has increased its cement manufacturing capabilities by over 3.5 million metric tons through construction of new manufacturing plants at its Devil’s Slide, Utah; Midlothian, Texas; Florence, Colorado and Holly Hill, South Carolina sites. During that time the company also expanded its mineral components supply capabilities through the completion of its GranCem cement production facility near Birmingham, Alabama.
  • The company has approximately 2,400 employees and supplies over 15 million metric tons of cement and related materials annually.
  • Revenues in 2006 were approximately $1.5 billion.
  • Holcim has provided cement for the construction of the nation’s premier landmarks including: Galveston, TX Causeway, Turner’s Field, Atlanta, GA, New Orleans Convention Center, LA, Mitchell Center, University of South Alabama, Detroit Edison’s Monroe Power Plant, MI, Dan Ryan Expressway, Chicago, IL, Colorado Springs Airport, CO, and Interstate 25 through Denver, CO.
